In the ever-changing world around us, church leaders must be able to analyze and adapt to innumerable multicultural, secular and global contexts. To meet the needs of our day, the Asbury Church Planting Institute seeks to equip practitioners and church planters to fulfill God’s mission. The Institute offers training for church leaders that is affordable and non-residential, enabling students to study while remaining in the context of their current ministry. Each module is taught by world-class instructors and practitioners who guide the students in their quest of joining God’s mission. Our model of training is inspired by missiologist Leslie Newbigin’s gospel, church and world paradigm for modern missions.
At the end of the training, students will be able to apply the knowledge they learned by completing a practical Transformational Project. Once students have finished six of the nine modules and have successfully completed their Transformational Project, they will receive a Certificate in Missional Leadership. The institute courses can be studied through one of our learning sites.
