Advanced Standing Credit

Turn Your Exponential Learning Community Experience into Seminary Credit

Participants who have completed an Exponential Multiplier Learning Community may be eligible to receive 3 hours of advanced standing credit at Asbury Theological Seminary.

This credit can count toward MS798: Practicum in Christian Missions or may be applied within the Church Multiplication Certificate program, allowing ministry leaders to translate real-world church multiplication experience into graduate-level credit.

How It Works

If you have completed an Exponential Learning Community, you may apply for advanced standing by submitting a ministry reflection portfolio that demonstrates how you applied the learning in your ministry context.

Portfolio Requirements

Your portfolio should include 2,000–3,000 words and address the following:

  • A description of the projects or initiatives you engaged in through the learning community
    • A reflection on your experience participating in the learning community
    • A detailed explanation of how you have applied the learning in your local ministry context

Portfolios are reviewed by the Asbury Theological Seminary Dean’s Office and faculty as needed. Upon approval, students will receive 3 hours of advanced standing credit.

Next Step: Apply to Asbury Theological Seminary

To receive credit, you must be admitted as a student at Asbury Theological Seminary.
