Global Gatherings

In church planting, what works well in one place may not be the best approach somewhere else. But there are general ideas and principles that have broad application. And the lessons that someone is learning in one country can spark the imagination of a church planter working in another location. This cross-pollination of ideas is one of the most helpful dynamics for church planters today.

That’s why the Center for Church Multiplication sponsors Global training events (what we call “Global Gatherings”) in strategic locations around the world to bring together church planting practitioners, church leaders, and scholars to share ideas, build relationships, and collaborate on strategies for church multiplication in their region.

Our gatherings are very relational and interactive. We focus on sharing case studies that catalyze small group conversations on church multiplication. At our gatherings, church planters find people who understand their context and are willing to share ideas and learn together.

Our gatherings are intentionally diverse, bringing together church planters from a variety of denominations and organizations, countries and regions.

Global Gatherings are taking place across Europe, Latin America, Africa, and Asia.

The ultimate goal of a Global Gathering is to increase the growth of healthy, multiplying, and sustainable churches in that region.

Global Gatherings are typically three-day gatherings, consisting of 30-40 participants directly involved in church planting.

At the end of every year, the Center for Church Multiplication compiles and publishes the case studies presented at all of the Global Gatherings held that year. This book of case studies becomes a helpful resource, sharing ideas that church planters are learning in a wide variety of contexts all over the world.
